Some of those pics are a little interesting/nerve racking to get. That wide angle one was taken from the top of a hill. climbing a mountain trying to follow rocks marking the edge of a minefield does make one question how good these pics have to be to make it worth it

Mate another crazy carl adventure, i’m glad to see ur still hanging in there, and mate those buddhas and a quite stroll through the field mines to get to the lakes sounds like fun.

Great pics and I so remember when they blew up those statues…it was a total affront to everything we know and just so devastating! Love your blog though…puts my meagre trailwalker one to shame! NOW I WANT TO GO TO AFGHANISTAN
